Whistler has a rich culinary culture to suit a variety of tastes. Here, I have summarized some of my favourite dinner hotspots.

RIMROCK CAFÉ
2117 Whistler Road
5:30PM-9:30PM
604-932-5565
Since 1986, Rimrock Cafe has been Whistler’s go to place for fish and game. Consistently great food and service with an elegant and rustic atmosphere guarantees a memorable dining experience each and every time. Great for date night!

RED DOOR BISTRO
2129 Lake Placid Rd, Whistler
5PM–10PM
604-962-6262
Chef RD Stewart brings to Red Door Bistro a passion for French cuisine and over 20 years’ experience as chef in the best kitchens of Whistler. The seafood bouillabaisse is one of the dishes that they are known for and it does not disappoint, I also recommend the calamari (the best I have had). The Chefs bar overlooking the open kitchen is a neat experience if you can’t get a table. Reservations are a must.

TRATTORIA
4417 Sundial Place
5:30PM–9:30PM
604-932-5858
Featuring rustic Tuscan cuisine in a warm and family-friendly atmosphere, the Trattoria is a Palm family favourite. Great ambiance and consistently, excellent food and service each and every time.

ARAXI RESTAURANT + OYSTER BAR
110 – 4222 Village Square
2:30PM-11PM
604-932-4540
Award winning Araxi Restaurant is a known for locally sourced Pacific Northwest plates, their oyster bar, excellent wine selection, fun cocktails and fantastic desserts! This is one of the top places to dine in Whistler – you can enjoy an upscale dinner, an afternoon glass of wine or cocktail on the patio, or even a weekend brunch.

THE VENUE
1200 Alta Lake Rd #88
5:30PM–10PM
604-932-2244
If you are looking for something a little more casual off the beaten track I recommend checking out The Venue just south of Creekside. Owned by some good friends Ryan and Melissa Leitch, The Venue offers a good quality meal at a good price in a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Great location for a family reunion or staff get together.
